Import a resume PDF into your profile
Use the Pro PDF import to prefill work history, education, projects, accomplishments, and other profile details without retyping everything.
4 steps ยท About 3 minutes
All product guides1. Open the Profile tab
PDF import is a Pro shortcut in Profile; it is not part of account setup or required to build your Career Memory.
- 1Tap Profile in the app navigation.
- 2Tap Import resume (PDF). If you are not subscribed, the app will show the available Pro plans instead of uploading the file.
2. Choose the PDF
The device file picker accepts one PDF at a time. The app rejects files larger than 10 MB before upload.
- 1Browse to the folder where the resume is stored.
- 2Select the PDF and wait while the app reads each section.
- 3Keep the app open until the import result appears.
3. Read the import result
A confirmation identifies how many sections were filled and calls out any sections that could not be read.
- 1Dismiss the confirmation after reading it.
- 2Open each profile section that received information.
- 3Compare names, dates, job titles, and descriptions with the source PDF.
4. Correct or complete the imported information
Imported information is source material, not a finished application. Add missing context and remove anything you do not want reused.
- 1Use Edit on an existing education, work, project, accomplishment, or challenge entry.
- 2Use the add action in an empty section to create information the PDF did not contain.
- 3Save each section before moving to the next one.
What you should have when you finish
Your profile contains the information the app could extract from the PDF, plus any corrections you saved.
If something does not work
The app says the file is too large.
Export or compress the resume as a PDF under 10 MB, then choose it again.
The app cannot read the PDF or finds no sections.
Try a text-based PDF instead of a scan. If the result is still incomplete, enter the information manually in Profile.
